The President says he is “disappointed” with the media for the way they cover his administration, but he says he’s still “a fan.”
The President and his advisers were in the midst of a weeklong trip to the United Kingdom where they attended a press conference.
While they were there, Trump told reporters that he was disappointed with the way the media reported his actions in the past.
He said he had a lot of respect for the press and wanted to be able to do things in a way that he thinks is fair.
“I like the fact that the press, in my opinion, are honest, they’re not making it up.
They’re telling the truth,” Trump said.
“So, I like that.”
The president is scheduled to leave the UK on Wednesday for a two-day trip to Europe, which he said will be focused on addressing the Paris climate change accord.
Trump has frequently spoken out against the agreement, and he has also made it clear he’s going to pull the U.S. out of it.
He also has repeatedly accused the media of being biased against him.
Trump did not say what he plans to do about the Paris agreement during his brief visit to the British capital.
The president has repeatedly criticized the media during his presidency.
